11.11, also called Singles’ Day or Double 11 (双十一), is China’s largest online shopping festival. In 2026 JD’s sale opened on 12 October, Tmall and Taobao opened presale deposits on 15 October and run event prices from 20 October to 13 November, and the peak day is Wednesday 11 November. Most Chinese stores deliver only inside China, so overseas shoppers use a China forwarding address: every seller ships to the warehouse, the parcels wait free of charge for as long as needed until the last one arrives, and they ship abroad together in one box.
The festival is no longer one day. Each platform runs its own schedule, and the 2026 dates reported for the two largest are:

Store-level offers, coupons and cross-store discounts differ by seller and change during the event, so the price on the product page at checkout is the one that counts. China time is UTC+8: 20:00 in Beijing is 12:00 in London and 07:00 in New York during November.
Three things make the festival different from ordinary shopping. Orders come from many stores, because the best price for each item sits with a different seller. They arrive over weeks, because presale items ship on the seller’s stated date and domestic couriers are at their busiest after 11 November. And most of those sellers deliver only inside China.

Plan in two legs. The first is the seller’s delivery to the warehouse in China, which is slowest in the week after 11 November and later still for presale items. The second is the international leg after you ship: across the current public air routes, published delivery estimates range from 4 to 15 days after dispatch, depending on destination and cargo type. Estimates are not guarantees. If an order is a gift for a fixed date, ship the parcels that have arrived rather than holding everything for the last presale item.

Taobao says its 2026 overseas Double 11 runs in 20 markets, with free shipping in 13 countries and regions and no minimum spend in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Malaysia, for participating Taobao and Tmall items. If everything you want is in that programme and your country is covered, it is the simplest option.
A forwarder fits when the basket is mixed: JD, 1688 or Pinduoduo alongside Taobao, sellers outside Taobao’s programme, a country the programme does not reach, or goods you want photographed and combined before they leave China. Singles’ Day falls on Wednesday 11 November 2026, but the sales start weeks earlier. JD opened on 12 October at 20:00. Tmall and Taobao opened presale deposits on 15 October at 20:00, and event prices for in-stock items and presale balances run from 20 October at 20:00 to 13 November at 23:59.
Not entirely. Tmall and Taobao’s 2026 event pricing for in-stock items runs until 13 November at 23:59, according to the merchant rules reported in September. Individual store offers vary, so check the price on the product page before paying.
For a presale item you pay a deposit first to lock the event price, then pay the balance when the balance window opens; in 2026 balances became payable from 20 October at 20:00. Presale items ship on the date the seller states, which can be days or weeks after you pay, so pre-alert each one when it ships.
For some markets. Taobao announced that its 2026 overseas Double 11 covers 20 markets, with free shipping in 13 countries and regions and no minimum spend in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and Malaysia. That applies to participating Taobao and Tmall items. A forwarder is the way to combine Taobao orders with JD, 1688 or Pinduoduo purchases, to ship items outside that programme, or to reach countries it does not cover.
