Trust · Data processing
What we store, who it goes to, and how you read it back.
A cross-border shipment clears customs on recipient identity, so a China-leg operator handles your customers' data by necessity. Here is precisely what is handled, why each item exists, and where it goes.
Merchant customer data
What is processed, and the reason each item exists
A connected commerce platform sends store identity, installation and authorization records, product and SKU references, order and fulfillment identifiers, recipient name, delivery address, phone number, tracking data and operational notes — used to perform fulfillment, complete customs declarations, provide support, reconcile settlements, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.
The commitments in the Privacy Policy, promoted here because they are specific
- Customer email addresses are read on demand and are not persisted. They are used to collect missing customs-declaration information — EU IOSS particulars, destination tax identifiers, without which a shipment does not clear — and as a fallback contact on a delivery problem.
- Merchant customer data is never sold and is never used for marketing or unrelated advertising.
- Staff access is restricted by role, and an audit trail of integration events is kept without raw webhook bodies.
- Shopify privacy requests run through the mandatory customers/data_request, customers/redact and shop/redact webhooks.
Who it goes to: the carriers that transport the parcel, and the destination customs authority, because clearance requires recipient details, contents and declared value. Stripe and PayPal receive what a transaction requires.
Supplier data
What WooliiPorter sees about your suppliers
Parcels arrive with sender details, so WooliiPorter sees which suppliers ship to your warehouse address and how often. It does not see what you pay them: merchants buy from and pay suppliers directly, no purchase payment moves through WooliiPorter, and the factory price — the single most valuable fact in a supply chain — never enters our systems.
WooliiPorter selects no suppliers, sources nothing and operates no catalog. There is no product line to put your item into and no buying function to point at your supplier list.
Location
Warehouse operations are in China, and that is where shipment data is handled
Personal information relating to a shipment is processed in China, where the warehouse operates, and recipient and parcel information is shared with the carrier and the destination country’s customs authority to clear the goods.
Where personal information moves internationally, including from the EU, UK or California, WooliiPorter shares what the service and the clearance require. GDPR and CCPA rights — access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, and complaint to a supervisory authority — are handled under the Privacy Policy.
Your records
Everything on the record is retrievable
Merchant API V1 exposes orders, merged timelines, packed quotes, settlements, ledger-computed inventory and monthly statements as read operations, so anything the system recorded can be pulled through the same contract you integrate against. Settlements carry the ID of the quote they reconcile to, and inventory and storage statements are computed from one immutable ledger, so an exported record arrives with its own arithmetic attached.

Questions
Does WooliiPorter sell my customers’ data?
No. Merchant customer data is never sold and never used for marketing or unrelated advertising. Customer email addresses are read on demand rather than persisted, and are used to collect missing customs-declaration information such as EU IOSS particulars or destination tax identifiers, and as a fallback delivery contact.
What does WooliiPorter know about my suppliers?
Which suppliers ship to your warehouse address and how often, because parcels arrive with sender details. WooliiPorter does not see what you pay them: merchants pay suppliers directly, no purchase payment moves through WooliiPorter, and the company selects no suppliers, sources nothing and operates no catalog.
Why does my customer’s address go to China?
Because the warehouse that packs and dispatches the shipment is in China, and because clearance requires recipient details, contents and declared value at the destination. WooliiPorter shares what the service and the customs declaration require, with the carrier and the destination authority.
Can I export my WooliiPorter records?
Yes. Merchant API V1 exposes orders, merged timelines, packed quotes, settlements, ledger-computed inventory and monthly statements as read operations, through the same contract you integrate against. Settlements carry the ID of the quote they reconcile to, so exported billing records arrive with their arithmetic attached.
