Choose a buying agent if you need someone to place and pay for a Xianyu order. Choose self-service forwarding if you can buy from the seller yourself and need a China receiving address, consolidation and international shipping. Can you buy on Xianyu without a proxy?

Self-service forwarding does not solve marketplace account, identity verification or payment access. Before buying, confirm that your account can complete the actual transaction and that the seller will ship to the China warehouse address. A parcel-forwarding account does not guarantee that a Xianyu listing can be purchased.

For second-hand goods, ask the seller for the item's condition, included accessories, defects and purchase evidence. Warehouse photos can document visible arrival condition; they do not certify authenticity, functional performance or compliance with destination import rules.

Compare the whole cost, not an assumed percentage

Write down the item price, domestic shipping, any buying fee, payment or currency conversion charges, warehouse services, international freight and destination charges. Compare quotes for the same goods, destination, parcel dimensions and service scope. There is no substantiated blanket 10–20% proxy fee or guaranteed saving from forwarding.

Can I send branded or restricted goods?
